Hurricane Irma
Due to the catastrophic disaster declared by FEMA on September 10th in Florida, any loans that are located in an agency/FEMA declared county will require a final inspection prior to closing/purchase.
AFR requires a disaster report completed by a licensed appraiser if the subject property is located in a Presidentially Declared Disaster Area and individual assistance was provided as shown on the FEMA.gov search. The disaster report should include interior/exterior inspection with pictures. If damage exists, final inspection with pictures evidencing the repairs have been made is required.
The appraiser must inspect the property to determine if damage exists. Appraiser must provide an on-site inspection with interior/exterior photographs in the disaster report.
