FHA EAD Portal

The Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) Electronic Appraisal Delivery (EAD) portal is a web-based technology system used by FHA-approved mortgagees to submit appraisal reports to FHA – for new originations of all FHA products and programs that require an appraisal. All appraisals for new originations must be submitted to FHA through the portal for all FHA case numbers assigned on or after June 27, 2016.

On or after the June 27 mandatory use date, mortgagees will no longer be able to:

1. Use both the EAD portal and other appraisal submission methods concurrently for originations;
2. Submit appraisals for originations with case numbers assigned on or after June 27 to FHA through any method other than the EAD portal.
