Correspondent TRID FAQs

Here are some commonly asked questions with the TRID implementation.

If AFR is drawing docs for the Correspondent Client, AFR will request eConsent from the Borrower at the time of registration.

AFR will continue to allow you to use your current resource used for preparing the HUD to prepare the CD: Escrow Company, AFR, or self-prepared. Please keep in mind that you must also check with your warehouse partner(s) to determine their specific requirements. NOTE: If AFR is currently preparing your Closing package, we will generate the CD for you; however, it will be the Lender’s responsibility to deliver it to ALL parties and to validate the date of the delivery.

If the borrower has accepted eConsent, AFR will deliver the CD to the Borrower electronically. If the Borrower did not accept eConsent, AFR will provide the Client with the CD and a wet signature will be required by AFR. Please keep in mind, that we start counting from the date the borrower executed the CD.

AFR will issue a CD on all files where we are preparing the docs: once we have the Title invoice and the loan is locked.
